My DM asked me to roll 4d4 and I did, all my rare and under items had to roll a 4d4 and now my character has a bunch of minor enhancements, ont major one, and a minor detriment. WebMay 6, 2024 · Reading Thunderwave now and looking at the rules in the PHB Chapter 10 Casting a Spell, it appears to me that Thunderwave encompasses 9 squares on a 5 foot grid and that at least one side has to be adjacent to the square that the caster is in. Whether your square is included in the area is up to you regardless of where the spell is centered.
