While specific applications vary, much of ECE theory is based on the idea that children learn best through exploration and doing. WebbThree important theories are Jean Piaget’s, Lev Vygotsky’s, and Information-processing. Jean Piaget (1896-1980) was one of the most influential cognitive theorists in development. He was inspired to explore children’s ability to think and reason by watching his own children’s development.
