WebNov 22, 2009 · It is true that Ben Fargen no longer puts VOS switches on the Mighty Plex (mine doesn't have one). I would also agree that the Mighty Plex II is a gainey amp - more gainey than the original Marshalls -- but I think that's the point, to get these great cranked up tones at manageable volumes. WebSep 11, 2024 · Jun 8, 2024 #1 I recently purchased a Fargen Mighty plex. Normally amps are 30W. This one is 40W because I believe of fixed biased. I read a thread (and it may have been from this specific amp), that it is in fact fixed biased with no power scaling or effects loop. A custom job. 90% of amps are fixed biased. This one isn't. I'm in the majority.
