While it is not mandatory that internal auditors join the IIA, membership in this internationally recognized professional association offers opportunities for continued professional development and certification designations. WebThe membership in the Institute shall consist of Regular Members, Educational Associate Members, and Honorary Members, and such other classes as may be defined when necessary by the Board of Trustees. The requirements for classifications shall be contained in the rules of Eligibility for Membership as promulgated by the Board of Trustees.
